SPCC Plans

What are SPCC Plans?

SPCC Plans are crucial for controlling and mitigating oil spills in various facilities to protect public health and the environment.

Tier 1 & Tier 2 Self-Certified Plans

To qualify as a Tier I qualified facility, in addition to meeting the eligibility criteria for a Tier II qualified facility, a facility must have no individual aboveground oil storage containers with a capacity greater than 5,000 U.S. gallons. Tier I qualified facilities are subject to streamlined requirements, whereas Tier II facilities have more comprehensive mandates.

Working with Professional Engineers

We collaborate with Professional Engineers (PE) in various states for SPCCs and updates that require PE certification. PEs are essential for certifying facilities that are not qualified under Tier I or Tier II, or if an environmental equivalence determination for secondary containment is needed.
